Mission Statement

BUPAC (Businesspeople United for Political Action Committee), founded in 1976, is Lee County's oldest, registered, non-partisan political action committee. It's mission is to provide support to local candidates who believe in the free enterprise

system and good government. BUPAC members listen to and ask in-depth questions of public officials and candidates seeking election, at their weekly breakfast meetings throughout the year. This gives members a first hand understanding of the philosophies, goals and strategies by which these public or soon to be public figures are guided. It also gives members the chance to provide input or suggestions to these individuals after each meeting. The open "give and take" format of these weekly meetings is always good-natured and beneficial to all concerned.
